Description: Mmmmmm, Ruby. Uniform fleece, beautiful handle and just too darn cute for her own good. She's ready to breed and has quite a genetic history behind her that's loaded with potential.

Ruby's sire is Silver Grand Marquis, a full Peruvian rose grey herdsire that won a lot of spinoffs and his crowning glory was taking 2nd place at AOBA Nationals in composite, (class of 10). Some of the nicest grey yarn we ever produced was compliments of this stunning herdsire.

Ruby's dam is none other than Amazing Fawn. For those of you that have visited Poplar Hill know Fawn has a very special place in our hearts. This gal may not of been a beauty queen but she is proof that big girls do make some of the most outstanding offspring. Amazing Fawn is the dam of the Canadian National Champion, Dakini. He was recognized as the best of the best, there's only ONE alpaca each year chosen as National Champion. We hold very strongly to the truth that the dams are just as important to the breeding pair as the herdsire, and Fawn was one of the very best.

Ruby is ready to be bred and we'd love to see her matched with Alejandro or possibly Lonestar or Hunter to bring forward those grey genetics. The choice is yours, she's a great production gal worthy of your consideration.

Wow!The only word to truly describe Marquis. He's taken top ribbons at every show he's been entered. That would be good enough to consider him for a great herdsire, but Marquis is toting a 19 micron in all that fabulous rose grey fiber; now we're really talkin'! He's got a lot of pizazz and tiny bundled fiber finer than most whites. The potential for full Peruvian silver, rose grey, maroon and black are running strong in these genes and to date Marquis has produced all colored females - including a true black out of a white dam.

To create champions you need to select a worthy sire to breed to your own girls -- and this grand macho is the one to put any alpaca breeding program into showring orbit. These are the bloodlines to have on your farm if you're breeding for black and grey, and worthy of taking the ribbons at any show.

Marquis' crias are hitting the show ring and making the cut. Beautiful tiny bundles with impressive st
